Assistant Sales Representative
Overview:
Are you a natural people-person with a passion for marketing, communication, and relationship building? Once in a Wild, San Antonio’s premiere mobile animal outreach company, is hiring a part-time Assistant Sales Representative to help manage client communication, generate leads, and support business development.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven business that combines animal care, education, and entertainment, while gaining valuable experience in small business sales and marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Relations:
• Respond to incoming inquiries and help guide potential clients through the booking process
• Draft and send follow-up emails, custom quotes, and booking confirmations
• Maintain up-to-date records in our CRM system, ensuring accuracy in client data
• Assist with lead generation and targeted outreach to schools, event planners, and local businesses
• Research and recommend new opportunities for community partnerships and service expansion
Marketing & Promotions:
• Collaborate on seasonal campaigns, promotions, and discount strategies
• Represent Once in a Wild at select events to engage the public and promote services
• Distribute printed and digital materials to schools, libraries, and local partners
Ideal Candidate:
• Friendly, confident, and professional in written and verbal communication
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Comfortable with phone and email-based sales communication
• Able to work independently and take initiative in a small business environment
• Interested in sales, marketing, customer success, or business operations
• Bonus: Interest in animals, education, or community engagement
Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Proficient with basic computer tools (Google Workspace, email, spreadsheets, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
• Access to reliable transportation for occasional on-site work or meetings
• Able to commit to 24-30 hours/week with occasional evenings/weekends as needed
• Must be comfortable working remotely and independently, with team check-ins
Compensation & Benefits:
• Hourly wage based on experience
