Assistant, Industrial Maintenance Technician MRF- 3rd Shift!

WM India is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician Assistant to support their maintenance operations. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, assisting in repairs, and ensuring all plant equipment is functioning properly while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance inspections (PM) and diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment and components, including balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, front-end loaders, and building equipment Maintain the Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) backlog Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and inform the Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager if additional work is needed or cannot be completed within Standard Repair Times (SRTs) Inspect the quality of third-party repairs and rebuilds Recommend improvements to enhance production, equipment performance, and product quality Multitask and manage multiple priorities with efficiency Respond to emergency breakdown service calls Perform work with limited supervision while maintaining high standards of performance Be flexible with your work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to meet operational needs Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards and ensure all work is completed according to safety procedures Perform repairs in line with Waste Management Safety, Life Critical Rules, and OSHA requirements Perform minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Ensures all plant equipment is functioning properly Assist Technicians in the adjustments, repair or replacement of all fixed and rolling stock equipment including but not limited to balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, and bearings Perform other maintenance and project related work as required Skills Must be at least 18 years of age Legally eligible to work in the United States Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check and criminal history review Benefits Comprehensive healthcare coverage including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability Stock Purchase Plan Pension Paid Vacation Holidays Personal Days Company match on 401K Company Overview WM India, established in 2013, is the Global Capability Center of WM—North America’s leading environmental services company.
