Assistant Director Housekeeping
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and housekeeping management, ensuring that all areas are impeccably clean and well-maintained. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a diverse team while implementing best practices in industrial cleaning and floor care.
Duties
? Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards and protocols.
? Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and training programs for staff.
? Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
? Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
? Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events or peak occupancy periods.
? Address guest inquiries and concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
? Lead, mentor, and train housekeeping staff to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance.
? Stay updated on industry trends in housekeeping management and incorporate innovative cleaning techniques.
Skills
? Strong background in hospitality management with a focus on cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
? Proven experience in industrial cleaning practices, including knowledge of floor care techniques.
? Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
? Familiarity with custodial operations within a hotel or similar environment is preferred.
? Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
? Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
? Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with staff and guests.
