Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for negotiating highly customized, complex ASO agreements and is seen as the SME for all ASO contract related issues.
• Leads negotiations with high profile and highly complex, customized ASO accounts which includes external account counsel and represents significant membership.
• Manages multiple documents to ensure terms and conditions are aligned with business intent for entities that are related, but not identical.
• Provides ongoing support and SME consultant for business issues that arise under the terms of the contract, mindful of the financial risk with large membership population.
• Works in collaboration with VP of legal to develop new and alternative ASO contract language for enterprise use.Designs and develops critical discussion points to support negotiators in maintaining standard contract language. Acts as mentor to other Contract Administration Directors.

Requirements:
• Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of professional contract and negotiation experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. JD or MS in a related field preferred. Contract negotiation, research, analytical, and technical skills strongly preferred.

• Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
