Area Director – Fulfillment Center Leadership & Team Management Opportunity

Remote Full-time
Job Description:

Join Our World-Class Fulfillment Network at arenaflex

Are you ready to step into a leadership role that powers the future of logistics and e-commerce? At arenaflex, we're transforming how customers receive their orders, and we're looking for exceptional leaders to guide our frontline teams in our state-of-the-art fulfillment operations. This is a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact, develop your management skills, and grow within one of the most innovative companies in the world.

Our fulfillment network is the heartbeat of our customer promise. Every package that reaches a customer's doorstep represents the hard work of thousands of dedicated associates, and as an Area Director, you will be the leader who ensures that work is done safely, efficiently, and with excellence. This is not a desk job or traditional corporate position—it's a hands-on leadership role where you'll be on the floor, working alongside your team, solving challenges in real-time, and driving results that matter.

About the Role: What You'll Do

As an Area Director at arenaflex, you'll serve as the operational leader for a team of 50-100 associates within one of our fulfillment centers, sortation facilities, or delivery stations. Your mission is to deliver outstanding results while investing in the growth and wellbeing of your team members. This role places you at the forefront of our customer commitment, ensuring that every order is processed accurately, safely, and on time.

The work we do in fulfillment can be visualized in three critical phases: the first mile, where products are received, inventoried, and prepared for customer orders; the second mile, where orders are picked, packed, and sorted for delivery; and the last mile, where packages are loaded onto delivery vehicles and brought to customers' doorsteps. As an Area Director, you'll oversee operations across these phases, driving consistency and excellence in every step of the process.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 50-100 hourly associates, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth through coaching, feedback, and performance management
Operational Excellence: Drive daily production goals and ensure team members have the tools, resources, and training needed to meet or exceed performance targets
Communication & Alignment: Serve as the primary point of communication for your team, translating company policies and procedures into clear, actionable direction while maintaining compliance and consistency
Performance Management: Create, manage, and support recognition programs that celebrate individual and team achievements, motivating associates to reach their full potential
Safety & Compliance: Champion all safety programs and OSHA compliance requirements, ensuring a secure workplace for every team member and taking corrective action when needed
Quality Control: Partner with senior leadership to establish and maintain quality standards, conducting regular audits and implementing improvements as needed
Loss Prevention: Ensure adherence to building security protocols and product loss prevention measures to protect company assets
Goal Setting & Analysis: Develop performance objectives and metrics to meet customer demand while ensuring accuracy, quality, and productivity goals are achieved
