The Architectural Designer role offers a chance to contribute to project development, assisting in creating high-quality project documents and collaborating with a design team under experienced mentorship.ResponsibilitiesPropose creative technical solutions to design challenges while ensuring design excellenceAdhere to quality assurance/control processes and company practice standardsContribute to project deliverables, ensuring alignment with project schedules and deadlinesConduct design analyses, layout designs, and code studies with some independent workPerform basic architectural tasks, including layout and aesthetic feature designCoordinate drawings and specifications, assisting in preparation of specific sectionsApply BIM standards and develop organizational cartoon sets for projectsExecute quality control procedures and resolve clash detection issuesActively collaborate with the project team to generate and communicate design ideasContinuously seek new knowledge and skills, proactively sharing potential solutions with peersSkillsUndergraduate Degree in Architecture0 to 5 years of professional experience in architectureProfessional licensure not required; LEED AP and other certifications preferred but not requiredProficient in Revit; knowledge of Bluebeam and other standard architecture softwareStrong technical skills with the ability to contribute to the design process and develop technical solutionsCompetence in conventional aspects of architecture, including materials, methods, and tools for small to moderate-sized buildingsWorking knowledge of design techniques, tools, and sustainable design principles for producing technical plans and deliverablesStrong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining quality and productivityAbility to assist in marketing and business development effortsLEED AP and other certificationsBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionDisabilityWellness programsFlex spendingPaid holidaysPaid time off401(k) planEmployee stock ownershipBonus opportunitiesCompany OverviewDLR Group is a full-service design business that specializes in new construction architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning.
