What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan and present programs and activities for older adults to encourage participation and library usage
- Assist teaching artists with Creative Aging programs and manage necessary program supplies
- Gather attendance, surveys, and relevant information for program evaluation
- Communicate regularly with the Services for Older Adults team and manage administrative duties
- Represent Brooklyn Public Library Services for Older Adults at community meetings and outreach activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Members of the senior community strongly encouraged to apply
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work as a team and meet the needs of patrons with and without disabilities
- Desire to work with older adults and people with disabilities
- Computer skills required: email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and other virtual platforms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual language skills preferred including Sign Language, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cantonese, Mandarin, Bengali, Urdu, Polish, and Russian
