Application Consultant - Aws Cloud Migration

Description: CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant – AWS Cloud Migration position for our client. Location: Remote Duration: 10 months Duties: • Review and analyze business requirements; participate in high-level and low-level analysis and application design. • Design and develop front-end applications, including creation of wireframes, using JSP and React. • Develop Java/J2EE applications leveraging Spring framework components such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring IOC, Spring AOP, Spring Security, and Spring Annotations. • Build and deploy back-end services using SOAP and REST frameworks in Java and Spring Boot. • Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments, including OpenShift and AWS. • Utilize AWS services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and EC2 to support cloud migration and modernization initiatives. • Develop backend data streaming services using Apache Kafka, GridGain, and Apache Ignite. • Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using Spring Security. Skills: • Programming languages including Java, JavaScript, Unix Shell, and Python scripting. • Frameworks and platforms including Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, JDBC, Hibernate, JMS (MQ), OpenShift Cloud, and AWS. • Web technologies including JavaScript and React. • Web and application servers including Apache Tomcat, HTTPD, and NGINX. • IDEs and utilities including IntelliJ IDEA, SQL Developer, HashiCorp Vault, and HashiCorp tools. • Database technologies including Oracle and DynamoDB. • Development and build tools including Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, and GitLab. Experience: • Proven experience designing, developing, and migrating enterprise applications to AWS cloud environments. • Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring-based architectures, and cloud-native deployments. • Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
