Responsibilities...
Ā Design, build, and maintain scalable software systems that drive our weather forecasting processes.
Ā Utilize AI knowledge to develop innovative forecasting models and algorithms that improve accuracy and reliability.
Ā Collaborate closely with our team of meteorologists and software developers to translate complex weather data into actionable solutions.
Ā Optimize data processing pipelines and work with large-scale datasets to ensure efficient and reliable data handling.
Ā Contribute to the development of our software architecture and design patterns, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our systems.
Qualifications:
Ā Proven experience in designing data processing systems for large-scale datasets.
Ā Proficiency in Python or other programming languages for large-scale data handling.
Ā Strong understanding of software systems and architecture, including data flows, design choices, and trade-offs.
Ā Demonstrated ability to work independently with exceptional programming skills and a solid understanding of AI principles.
Ā A track record of building scalable, data-driven solutions and a passion for solving complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ā Extensive experience with Python or other languages for large-scale data processing.
Ā Proficiency in AI, particularly neural networks and their applications.
Ā Knowledge of remote sensing, models, and various observational datasets.
Ā Experience with cloud computing platforms and their applications.
Compensation and Benefits:
At Apple, base salary is just one part of our total compensation package, which is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to grow and develop within a role. The base salary range for this role is competitive and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
