We are an 'early stage' pre-money nonprofit/ tech startup preparing for a proof-of-concept launch / seed-raise looking to recruit VOLUNTEERS as App Developer (React Native).
We are seeking a dedicated App Developer with expertise in React Native to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of a mobile application designed to revolutionize healthcare access for patients with complex diseases. Your work will directly impact our mission of improving patient care and well-being.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with our design and development team to build user-friendly interfaces and seamless experiences in React Native.
• Develop new features and optimize existing functionality to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth application performance.
• Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates on progress and share insights for improvement.
Required Experience:
• Proficiency in React Native (5+ years), JavaScript, and mobile app development
• Familiarity with third-party libraries, APIs, and integration practices
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
• Passion for contributing to a nonprofit mission
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks is a plus
• Ability to attend weekly standup meeting (conference call with desktop/ laptop access for screen sharing)
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• HealthTech experience is a plus
NOTE:
• Please note that candidates seeking CPT/Internships or OPT are ineligible for this role
• Location: 100% remote
• Location: Anywhere in the World
• Hours per week: Approximately 4 to 8+ ( can be adjusted as per volunteer availability)
• Reporting to: Founder
• HealthTech experience is a plus
