The Analyst or Consultant in the Insurance Solutions group will advise and implement technology-enabled services to modernize the insurance industry, focusing on improving service delivery and customer experience.ResponsibilitiesSupport delivery of client projects by helping implement technology solutions that improve service delivery and customer experienceWork with clients and project teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to solution designAssist with requirements gathering workshops, documentation, and project coordinationHelp prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for clients and internal teamsCollaborate with colleagues to share insights and best practices while developing your own skillsStay current on evolving insurance industry trends and enabling technologies (e.g., Guidewire) to support solution design and deliverySkills1 to 3 years of relevant consulting or industry experienceAt least 1 year of experience in managing a Business Integration effort and project team through multiple phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testingExperience in custom software development projectsExperience in one or more of the following areas: requirements gathering (functional and/or technical), Quality Assurance / testing of functionality, development and solution architectureStrong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the end-to-end delivery of implementation programsAbility to work independently and manage multiple task assignmentsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgmentStrong communication skills with both internal and client teamsKnowledge of the Canadian insurance landscape across property and casualty insurance, workers' compensation, and life and health (preferred, but not mandatory)A bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceGuidewire Integration or Configuration certification preferredHands-on technical expertise in integrating with multiple complex applications, including, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, microservices architectures, and third-party systems via REST or SOAP APIsStrong expertise in both relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and related technologiesExperience delivering projects via an Agile/Scrum methodology and working knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)Experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, etcA strong Java, Javascript, Gosu, Python backgroundStrong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, JSON, microservices, etc.)Strong software development methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development, or testing of a technology integration projectBenefits$4,000 per year for mental health support benefits$1,300 flexible benefit spending accountFirm-wide closures known as "Deloitte Days"Dedicated days of for learning (known as Development and Innovation Days)Flexible work arrangementsHybrid work structureCompany OverviewDeloitte is a business consulting company that offers audit, consulting, financial advisory, and tax services.
