**Description:**
American Airlines is seeking passionate individuals for the position of Junior Flight Attendant. This role requires dedication, flexibility, and a commitment to exceptional service. Based in various locations across the U.S., our Junior Flight Attendants play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while representing the values and standards of American Airlines on both domestic and international flights.
**Responsibilities:**
– Perform pre-flight cabin checks to ensure safety compliance and cabin readiness.
– Provide outstanding customer service by assisting passengers with their needs, answering questions, and resolving concerns with a friendly demeanor.
– Conduct safety demonstrations and inform passengers of flight protocols.
– Ensure the cabin is clean and well-maintained throughout all stages of the flight.
– Serve refreshments and meals to passengers, and manage in-flight sales of duty-free goods.
– Respond to and manage in-flight emergencies and administer first aid as needed.
– Participate in regular training sessions and stay updated with all the latest safety procedures and airline policies.
**Requirements:**
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Age 18 or older at the time of hire.
– Must be able to reach overhead bins and stand for extended periods.
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
– Multilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
– Ability to adapt to varying work schedules and shift assignments, including weekends and holidays.
– Willingness to relocate as required.
– Ability to pass a rigorous training program.
**Educational Qualifications:**
– Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
– Further certifications in hospitality, tourism, or related fields are advantageous but not necessary.
**Experience:**
– No prior experience required, but customer service experience is preferred.
– Experience in a multi-cultural or international setting is an asset.
