Job summary
Do you ever struggle to explain your work? How's about this: "Do you shop at Amazon? Do you know that box that says "Add to Cart" and shows a price? Our model picks that offer. Sever billion times an hour. Worldwide"

Our diverse team blends Machine Learning (ML) models with low-latency, high-resilient architecture to recommend the best offer from the most trusted merchant for all products sold on Amazon to global customers. Our goal is to preserve customer trust, and we measure our success by running 200+ large-scale A/B experiments every year on a custom-built experimentation platform.

Why is this a great opportunity?

Location flexibility: Although, the team is mostly based in SEA, we are open for remote working

We work closely with other Retail teams like BuyingExperience (BuyX), Search, Pricing, Cart, Checkout, Delivery Experience (DEX), Ultra Fast Grocery (UFG), Subscribe n Save (SnS) to name a few. You will build systems that will help our customers make purchase decision. As a result, your work will earn and preserve the customer trust. Our impact is typically measured in $MM's.

Diversity: Our team is diverse in terms of expertise (SDE/Economist/Applied Scientists/Research Scientists/Product Managers), nationality (10 countries), experience (college grad to industry veterans), tech stacks (AWS front end / back end, Datapath) and office locations (Seattle, Bangalore, Berlin, Vancouver)

Great work-life-balance: We have low operational load and dedicated meeting free days every week

Skill development: We prioritize learning and skill development on regular basis. In addition, you will be working alongside some of the Amazon's smartest engineers, scientists, economists, and product managers. Our team regularly takes courses, present/teach at internal and external forums. We innovate, publish and file patents.

Fun: We find ways to relax and unwind with team events (e.g. cooking lessons), group lunches, and virtual fun stand-ups

Key job responsibilities
As a member, you will 1)productionize one of the most visible models on the web, 2) learn from diverse team of ML scientists, economists, SDEs and product managers, and 3) have a measurable business impact ($BB). Let's connect if this sounds like your next big opportunity.
