What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate the routing and rating of air/ocean freight, including providing quotes and handling pick-ups and deliveries
- Prepare necessary documents for the import or export of shipments, including customs documentation
- Complete import arrangements for customers, including bookings and transportation coordination
- Build relationships with vendors and resolve customer concerns and billing issues
- Collaborate with the Accounting Department to complete accounting functions and resolve discrepancies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be available and punctual for scheduled work shifts
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in logistics or freight forwarding preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1-2 years of experience in a logistics or customer service role
- Familiarity with customs regulations and freight documentation
- Experience with vendor negotiations and relationship management
- Proficiency in using logistics software and tools
