Airfield Civil Engineer

They are seeking an Airfield Civil Engineer to develop the planning, design, and construction of airport improvement projects, working closely with aviation planning and design staff in the Carolinas and Southeast.ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing civil airfield planning, design and construction improvement documents, working with aviation planning and design staffRegular contact with planning and design team members, contractors, and subconsultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projectsPerforming a wide array of aviation-related civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service AirportsPlan, direct, and monitor all aspects of small and large multi-discipline projects involving design of airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, vehicle service roads, airfield lighting and signage installation, navigational aids, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitationAssist in the planning, design, and construction administration of airports, including grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plansCollaborating and/or coordinating delivery teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and techniciansAutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D design manager dutiesAnalyze GIS data, client as-builts, survey data, geotechnical data, subsurface utility information and data needed for project developmentBuilds and maintains positive client relationshipsCoordination with clients, funding agencies, state aviation officials, FAA, and local permit AgenciesSkillsBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringProficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D DesignInterest in airport improvements from planning through the design and construction phaseWillingness to learn FAA Advisory Circulars and Airport Design and Engineering StandardsBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLifeAD&DDisability benefitsPaid time offLeaves of absencesVoluntary benefitsPerksFlexible work optionsWell-being resourcesEmployee assistance programBusiness travel insuranceService recognition awardsRetirement savings planEmployee stock purchase planCompany OverviewAECOM is a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets.
