AI Platforms Product Marketing Manager
Thoughtworks is evolving from a services-led technology consultancy toward a more platform-powered services model, with AI/works™ at the centre of that shift. Launched in January and currently at v1.0, AI/works™ is Thoughtworks’ agentic development platform, enabling our teams to help clients build, run, and evolve industrial-grade systems in the AI era by turning proven engineering practices into a repeatable, governed platform.
As AI/works™ continues to scale, there is a need for a dedicated product marketing role to ensure the platform is clearly positioned, consistently explained and effectively enabled across the business and in the market. The Product Marketing Manager for AI/works™ is responsible for shaping how the platform shows up externally and internally - from positioning and messaging to platform assets and release communication - helping buyers, partners, sellers and practitioners understand its value and differentiation in a fast-moving and highly competitive AI landscape.
Job responsibilities
Market & Competitive IntelligenceLead ongoing research on AI platforms, competitors and market trends; convert insights from clients, field and ecosystem into actionable inputs for Product, Marketing and GTM.
Platform Positioning & NarrativeDefine a bold, clear positioning and value narrative for AI/works™, including ICPs, personas and maturity-based messaging.
Simplified Value CommunicationTranslate complex AI capabilities into clear, outcome-driven, trust-focused messaging and eliminate ambiguity around what the platform is and isn’t.
Differentiated StorytellingBring platform value to life through compelling, creative execution that demonstrates differentiation (“show, not tell”).
Roadmap & Release CommunicationPartner with Product Management to convert roadmap priorities and releases into external narratives, messaging and enablement assets.
Release Storytelling ConsistencyOwn feature framing and value articulation while ensuring consistency across web, sales, analysts and partner communications.
Platform Assets OwnershipDevelop and maintain core assets such as datasheets, solution briefs, demo narratives, playbooks, adoption guides, and platform documentation.
Sales & Partner EnablementEnable sales, field and partners with presentations, competitive positioning, comparisons and release-level materials for client conversations.
Partner & Ecosystem PositioningDefine platform positioning for partners and support co-marketing and partner-led GTM with consistent messaging and proof points.
Community & Engagement StrategyShape audience strategy, value propositions and content themes for engagement channels, partnering with Product/Engineering for execution.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Operating Model Collaborate with Product, Marketing, regions, AR, campaigns and service lines to ensure consistent platform representation across all GTM activities and channels.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
8–12+ years in B2B product marketing, platform marketing or equivalent roles
Experience with complex technical platforms (AI, data, cloud, developer-adjacent products)
Marrying technical understanding with creative, bold platform GTM execution
Strong systems thinker with the ability to simplify without dumbing down
Deeply immersed in the AI ecosystem, having deep understanding in core concepts and continuous learning mode
Professional Skills
Results-driven and highly adaptable to a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across sales, marketing, and partner teams.
Comfortable operating in and ability to strongly influence and align across matrixed, global teams teams
Collaborate with the Platform team to align marketing initiatives with revenue goals, actively contributing to commercial strategy discussions that drive business growth.
