AI Developer Needed to Build Azure-Based Voice-to-Text and Text Generation Pipeline - Contract to Hire

We're looking for an experienced AI developer with strong Azure expertise to help us build a backend system that processes short voice recordings and generates structured, well-written text entries from them. The system will take a series of short audio clips (20 seconds or less), automatically transcribe them, categorize them into predefined sections, and generate a professional summary or narrative. In some cases, we may also want to retrieve the closest matching comment from an existing text library instead of generating new content. This is part of a larger app already under development. You will be working alongside a .NET developer who handles the front end and main application backend. Your job is to design, implement, and connect the AI components. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: •Set up and configure Azure AI services for: o Speech-to-text transcription (20s audio clips) o Custom text classification (categorize notes into predefined sections) o Text generation using Azure OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo o Semantic search against a text/comment library using Azure Cognitive Search • Build APIs or Azure Functions to handle: o Audio upload → transcription o Text classification → category assignment o Prompting GPT → structured output with dropdown value, label, and full paragraph o Text similarity search from an existing database • Assist with prompt design and result formatting • Collaborate with our developer to wire AI results into the app’s existing data model ________________________________________ Some Tech Stacks You May Use: • Azure Speech to Text • Azure Language Studio (Text Classification) • Azure OpenAI (GPT-4 Turbo) • Azure Cognitive Search (vector similarity search) • Azure Functions or Azure App Services (backend logic + APIs) • Azure Blob Storage (for audio files) • JSON / RESTful endpoints (to integrate with .NET) ________________________________________ Ideal Candidate: • Proven experience using Azure AI services in production • Skilled in natural language processing workflows • Comfortable with prompt engineering for GPT-based systems • Can work with either Python or C# to deploy serverless APIs • Knows how to design scalable, maintainable cloud-based logic • Familiar with collaboration alongside a .NET team ________________________________________ What We’ll Provide: • Sample data, text libraries • Structured categories for classification • Access to Azure subscription and required resources • Ongoing communication and support from our internal developer ________________________________________ Goal: We want a fast, stable, scalable AI pipeline built primarily using Azure services.
