Who You Are
As an AI Automation Intern, you transform high leverage ideas into working agentic workflows that save time or generate revenue for our teams and clients.
You:
• Live and breathe AI—new models, forums, and tools are your nightly reading
• Own outcomes—you see a bottleneck and build a bot before anyone asks
• Iterate fast—you prototype, ship, measure, and aren't afraid to scrap v1
• Are unreasonably resilient—auth errors and broken APIs don't faze you
• Make bold, long term bets—you test ambitiously and document everything
Mission
Build and ship agentic AI automations that create measurable leverage for Single Grain and its clients by eliminating repetitive work and unlocking new revenue opportunities.
Problem to Be Solved
We lack a standardized library of AI workflows that reliably save time or generate revenue at scale.
Key Outcomes (by Day 90)
• Ship 3 internal automations that each save ≥20 hours per month or 3 client facing automations adopted by ≥5 paying accounts
• Publish SOPs and Loom walkthroughs for every automation in the central playbook
• Implement telemetry proving hours saved or revenue generated
• Present a "lessons learned" demo and forward roadmap to the executive team
Core Responsibilities
• Opportunity sourcing with CTO/CEO to prioritize high impact automations
• Design, prompt engineer, and prototype flows in Zapier Agents, n8n, Make.com, Lindy.ai, or custom Python/LangChain scripts
• Test, debug, and harden automations for production use
• Record Loom walkthroughs, write SOPs, and maintain the knowledge base
• Track ROI and report progress weekly
Requirements
• Junior or Senior pursuing any bachelor's degree with evidence of hands on AI projects
• Proficiency with Zapier Agents, n8n, or Make.com
• Bonus: coding ability (Python or JavaScript) and vector DB experience
• Able to commute to Westwood / Los Angeles office 2-3 days per week
• Available 20 hours per week for 12 weeks (summer); paid $20/hour
