The role involves executing Asset Protection initiatives across assigned locations, providing support to local store management, conducting audits, and participating in investigations related to theft and loss.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the execution of Asset Protection initiatives in assigned locations 2-6 stores, as well as, implementation of shortage reduction programs in high shrink location(s)Provide in person and remote support to local store management to meet strategic asset protection objectivesEffectively leverage business and sales performance as a means for shortage reductionComplete AP and Physical Security Audits on a routine basisPerform operational audits of store districts within the Company focusing on sales floor fullness, stockroom organization, health and safety, human resources compliance and customer service Routine monthly travel to Focus StoresManage Focus Store program to ensure store compliance, and follow up on sub-standard performersParticipate in store associate training regarding approved Asset Protection procedures and workshopsCommit to the highest degree of professionalism, integrity and customer serviceConduct surveillance using CCTV and floor techniques to apprehend and deter theft in accordance with the company apprehension policiesExecute weekly external operations within the assigned market and support other external market initiatives when applicableParticipate in coordinated blitz efforts alongside ORC, peer retailers, and other AP Team Members (may require overnight travel)Initiate and support investigations related to Organized Retail Crime while partnering with immediate supervisor, Zone ORC Investigator, and local law enforcementPrepare case reports covering investigation and case detailsMaintain an effective relationship with store leaders, peer retailers, mall security and local law enforcement partnersRepresent company in court proceedings related to external casesInitiate investigations related to internal loss, determine sources, and communicate effectively to supervisorRoutine assessment of store operations, pre-shrink indicators, and safety compliance measures through operational auditsOptimize inventory accuracy through effective execution and management of physical inventories, store transfer monitoring and OMNI complianceSkills4-year degree preferred1-2 or more years of experience in the Asset Protection field or relevant experience in retail settingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions based on company apprehension guidelinesAbility to work nights, evenings and weekends appropriate to retail business needsMust pass a comprehensive background investigationMust have a reliable means of transportationMust fulfill physical requirements including standing and walkingBenefitsIncentive bonus program401(K) savings plan with company matchAnnual companywide review processFlexible spending accountsMedical, dental and vision insuranceLife and disability insuranceAssociate assistance programPaid parental and adoption leaveAccess to fertility and adoption benefits through CarrotAccess to mental health and wellness app, HeadspacePaid Caregiver LeaveMobile StipendPaid time off and one paid volunteer day per year, allowing you to give back to your communityMerchandise discount on all of our brandsOpportunities for career advancement, we believe in promoting from withinAccess to multiple Associate Resource GroupsGlobal team of people who will celebrate you for being YOU!Company OverviewAbercrombie & Fitch Co.
