They bring real-world expertise and a commitment to fostering academic excellence for future educators and leaders. Adjunct instructors must be willing to engage with faculty, students, and other stakeholders to ensure well-rounded, rigorous learning experiences that offer students the highest levels of support.Key Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses in the School Psychology program primarily through an online learning platform. Course curriculum may include:Psychoeducational assessmentAcademic and behavioral interventionsEthics and special education lawConsultation and collaborationLearning TheoryCrisis response intervention and preventionSupervision of practicum and fieldwork studentsUtilize learning management systems to deliver engaging and effective instruction.Host weekly live sessions with students.Provide timely feedback, academic support, and guidance to online students.Maintain accurate records of student performance and participation in accordance with institutional policies.Collaborate with faculty and contribute to program development and evaluation when requested.Location Policy: Applicants from the following states will receive first consideration: Remote work from any of the following states - Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. *Recruiting in California and Massachusetts only if position job responsibilities warrant it. Required Qualifications: Education: A Master's, Doctoral, or other terminal degree from an accredited college or university relevant to the program content (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling, etc.).A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a School Psychologist, holding a valid Credential authorizing service as a School PsychologistSeeking professionals with expertise in psychoeducational assessment and a strong understanding of various SLD assessment models, including the discrepancy model, pattern of strengths and weaknesses (PSW), and response to intervention (RTI).PK-12 and Higher Education Experience: Demonstrated success in PK-12 educational settings, especially within diverse and historically underrepresented communities.Strong interpersonal and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications: A minimum of five years of experience as a School Psychologist in California, holding a valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist.National Certification: Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) certification.Demonstrated success in teaching and mentoring in graduate-level school psychology programs. Specifically, proven ability to teach learners with diverse needs.Ability to teach assessment courses with onsite components (three Saturdays in Northern or Southern CA).Expertise in school psychology standards: Comprehensive understanding of and ability to apply NASP Practice Model and Professional Standards, California state standards and performance expectations (e.g., CTC), and educational law in instruction and supervision.Skilled in online teaching platforms, current pedagogy, and integrating technology into instruction to meet the needs of adult learners in flexible learning environments.Work Environment: A remote adjunct work environment is a flexible, virtual setting where instructors deliver course content, engage with students, and fulfill academic responsibilities from a remote location. This environment typically relies on digital communication tools, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual collaboration platforms to facilitate teaching and interaction .
