As an Accounts Receivable Representative, you will play a critical role in preparing and submitting claims, investigating and processing refunds, and resolving account discrepancies to ensure timely reimbursement for our clients. A Quick Overview of the Opportunity * **Start Date:** Immediate openings available * **Company:** Workwarp * **Location:** Remote (with possibility of returning to the office) * **Position:** Accounts Receivable Representative - 3rd Party Commercial Medical Billing * **Compensation:** Competitive salary ($16-19 per hour) Job Summary As an Accounts Receivable Representative - 3rd Party Commercial Medical Billing, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting claims for accounts to ensure timely reimbursement, investigating and processing refunds when warranted, and resolving account discrepancies. You will work independently to ensure that all claims are submitted accurately and timely, and that all account discrepancies are resolved efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, edit, and submit account billing in accordance with payer guidelines to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. Verify patient insurance eligibility and update patient demographics as necessary. Submit system payer/fee schedule changes and required documentation with claims. Respond to verbal and written insurance or responsible party inquiries regarding account status. Resolve account discrepancies and prepare adjustments and refunds for approvals as necessary. Maintain accurate and complete records concerning billing activity on all accounts. Address problems as they occur and keep supervisor advised of area or compliance issues. Complete all reports according to schedule and perform other tasks as assigned to support the goals of the organization. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 2 years of medical billing experience. High school diploma or equivalent required. Computer skills, medical terminology, Microsoft Office, and typing skills (min 35 wpm) required. Claims processing experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a remote environment. Familiarity with medical billing software and systems. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
