Position Summary
Echelon Services is seeking a results-driven Accounts Manager, Defense and Intelto oversee complex Department of Defense (DoD) projects. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in DoD program management and strong interpersonal skills. This role will lead cross-functional teams, manage deliverables including Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and recurring reporting requirements, serve as a liaison with key government stakeholders, and ensure timely, high-quality team performance.
Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day oversight of assigned DoD programs, ensuring compliance with all contract requirements, timelines, and performance standards
• Oversee the development, review, and submission of CDRLs and other program documentation in accordance with contract guidelines
• Manage and coordinate project status reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Direct and mentor project staff, ensuring high levels of performance, accountability, and professional growth
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, fostering strong relationships and maintaining open communication
• Identify program risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution
• Ensure adherence to DoD policies, security standards, and quality assurance practices
• Support proposal development and program transition planning as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, IT, or related discipline)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading/directing DoD programs or contract task areas
• Demonstrated experience managing CDRLs, performance reporting, and leading cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of DoD program lifecycles, acquisition processes, and performance management frameworks
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across various organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP certification required
• Active clearance
• Experience with IT, cybersecurity, or cloud-based DoD programs
• Experience working for a small business or 8(a) contractor
Location
• This role will not require you to come to the office on a set schedule, but local customer site visits (in the NCR) and attend meetings in the office (Manassas, VA) as needed.

Salary at Echelon Services is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Echelon's total compensation package for employees.
