As our Accountant, you will be instrumental in overseeing all financial transactions, from managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and processing payroll, to preparing comprehensive financial statements such as profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. You will play a critical role in developing and monitoring budgets, conducting financial forecasting, and performing in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Your insights will directly inform our strategic decisions and support our ambitious expansion plans. Key Responsibilities • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition. • Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and comprehensive variance analysis. • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance. • Research technical accounting issues for compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/SFRS). • Ensure compliance with local government reporting requirements and tax filings. • Support month-end and year-end close processes with efficiency and accuracy. • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. • Collaborate with internal teams on financial matters and provide expert guidance. • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly. Required Skills • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Accountant or in a relevant financial role. • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP/IFRS/SFRS). • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials). • Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis). • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant business field. Preferred Qualifications • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA). • Experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team environment. • Knowledge of Singaporean tax laws and compliance regulations. • Experience with financial reporting and analysis for a recruitment or HR tech company. • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting solutions and process automation tools.
