Accountant - Junior

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their team. This role is 100% remote and is responsible for preparing, reconciling, and reviewing financial adjustments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the stock ledger and inventory valuation. The Junior Accountant will support planning, forecasting, and reporting functions while partnering with multiple departments and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and reconcile financial adjustments to maintain the integrity of the stock ledger. • Ensure timely and accurate adjustments to support planning, forecasting, and reporting of inventory valuation. • Maintain compliance with SOX and prepare documentation for quarterly audits. • Research and resolve discrepancies, providing responsive customer service to internal teams. • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Financial Control, to resolve issues. • Review adjustments prepared by peers for accuracy and completeness. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience). • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles. • Retail accounting experience preferred, but not required. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic formulas). • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Independent, detail-oriented, and highly motivated self-starter.
