Accountant (Big 4 Background & AI-Driven Reporting)

This is a full time, remote and permanent role as per the US Central timezoneWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with prior experience at a Big 4 or similar professional services firm (e.g., EY, KPMG, PwC, or Deloitte). The ideal candidate will combine strong traditional accounting expertise with a forward-thinking mindset, including experience or interest in using AI tools and building automated accounting dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.This role is ideal for someone who is not only technically strong in accounting principles but is also eager to modernize financial processes through automation, analytics, and AI-powered tools.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial close processes.Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable standards (IFRS/GAAP).Design, build, and maintain interactive accounting and financial dashboards for real-time reporting and performance tracking.Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline reporting, reduce manual work, and improve accuracy and efficiency.Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support leadership in strategic decision-making.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper financial controls and data integrity across systems.Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting structures.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–6+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years at a Big 4 or similar firm (EY, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, or equivalent).Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.Hands-on experience with financial reporting tools, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.Demonstrated experience or strong interest in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, automation platforms) to improve accounting workflows.Experience building or managing financial dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsProfessional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA (completed or in progress).Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or tech-enabled environments.Familiarity with data visualization, SQL, or data modeling concepts.Experience implementing or improving accounting systems and reporting frameworks.
