Account Manager (Outside Sales) Northeast US - PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, RI

Our Northeast service center is currently looking for an Account Manager to join our Outside Sales team and provide first-rate service to our customers. This position is responsible for promoting and increasing current Rolled Metal Products, Inc. sales in the territory and product market. Travel throughout the region is required. Responsibilities and Duties As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Account Manager. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require. Increase sales and provide support for current customer base within the territory assigned, including key, target, and growth accounts. Actively visit companies within assigned territory and inquire about their needs. Introduce Rolled Metal Products capabilities to businesses. Entertain current and potential customers to ensure annual growth. Coordinate with vendors and management for all training necessary to provide services required. Inspect defective material in the field and document with Quality and Sales Department. Perform weekly quote follow ups in support of Inside Sales team efforts. Execute sales plans and strategies developed by the General Manager for new products. Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns. Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing. Assist in research, identification, and implementation of new products, customers, and programs to enhance annual profitability. Provide call reports and vendor reports to General Manager weekly, as well as monthly summary. Proactively review open orders, advising customers of delivery status change Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with other Account Managers, Inside Sales, and management. Timely submit expense reports and other department expenses to General Manager for approval. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Three years' experience in sales Market experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities Product knowledge Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with customers/suppliers Strong work ethic; self-motivated Excellent written and oral communication skills Good organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively multi-task Creative, forward thinker Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Valid State Driver's License Preferred Qualifications Four-year college degree in business or related area Four years of experience in sales and marketing Company Benefits Include: 401k with Company Match Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Long-term disability Short-term disability Paid Vacation Paid Sick Days Paid Holidays
