ABS Consumer - Analyst / Senior Analyst (NY / Chicago)
Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC (KBRA) is seeking a Credit Analyst / Senior Analyst for their ABS - Consumer team in New York or Chicago. The role involves transaction analysis, credit submissions preparation, and ongoing surveillance on outstanding transactions within the ABS sector. Responsibilities Perform transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan pool analysis, modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation Help to prepare credit submissions and present transactions to rating committee Write and prepare individual transaction reports for publication Attend and participate in issuer due diligence Perform ongoing surveillance on outstanding transactions: monitor performance, run cash flow analysis, create surveillance reports, present to surveillance committees and update ratings as appropriate Assist in the publication of market commentaries and industry-related topics Willingness to travel as needed Skills B.A. / B.S. degree is required A strong interest or up to 2 years' experience for Analyst, and 2+ years for Senior Analyst in performing credit analysis in the ABS sector within a rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking or similar role Strong oral and written communications skills Transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan pool analysis, modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation Strong Excel and Intex skills Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with team members in a collaborative environment Knowledge in auto loans, consumer loans, solar loans, home improvement loans, credit card receivables, small business loans preferred Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus Benefits A hybrid work schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office) Competitive benefits and paid time off Paid family and disability leave 401(k) plan, including employer match (100% vested) Educational and professional development financial assistance Employee referral bonus program Company Overview Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) was founded in 2010 to restore trust in credit ratings by introducing higher standards of risk assessment and a commitment to transparency.
