This position is online for 2.25 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Summary of Duties: Teach classes as assigned by the ABE Program Coordinator.Develop engaging curricula in accordance with program standards and instructional practices relevant to adult learners.Document and evaluate student progress using formative and summative assessments such as TABE or CASAS. Adapt teaching style to engage and retain students.Facilitate and integrate technology into instruction.Monitor attendance and student progress using the MnABE Student Information Database (SID). Qualifications Required: Holds a valid Minnesota teaching license in any area K-12 OR holds a Masters degree in TESOL or LinguisticsAbility to differentiate instruction according to varied learning styles and educational levelsExperience and competency with the use of technology in the classroom (Google Classroom, Google Sites, Google Meets, Gmail, Google Docs and Google Drive)Experience and/or willingness to learn new teaching modalities: HyFlex and online learningKnowledge of student-centered learning practicesExperience working with students of varied ages, levels, and cultural backgroundsValues diversity and is equity-minded (committed to and believes in MAPS core values)Friendly, professional, and committed to creating a welcoming environmentExperience and commitment to working as a teamMust pass background study as required by MN school districts Qualifications Preferred: Experience working in Adult Literacy education, teaching English as a Second Language.Knowledge of and experience with Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) and CCRS standards.Rate of Pay:$30.76 per hour (Based on MTA salary schedule)Other Information:ESST Application Deadline:April 15, 2026, or until filled.Candidates should complete the online application found at www.isd77.orgThese positions will be filled on the basis of the experience, competency, and qualifications of the applicant and the needs of the District.
