About the Role Innovaccer is looking for a Senior Healthcare Economics (HCE) Analyst to support advanced healthcare analytics and strategic decision-making for payers, providers, and life sciences organizations. In this role, you will conduct deep-dive analyses on complex healthcare datasets to generate insights related to risk contracts, cost and utilization management, network optimization, and market intelligence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate data into actionable, high-impact recommendations. A Day in the Life • Analyze healthcare cost, utilization, and performance trends across payer and provider datasets. • Develop insights to support risk contracting, value-based care initiatives, and network optimization. • Conduct market intelligence and competitive analyses using real-world healthcare data. • Work with large-scale healthcare datasets including claims, EHR/EMR, and other real-world evidence sources. • Build analytical models, reports, and dashboards using advanced analytics and visualization tools. • Partner with internal teams to support client-facing deliverables and strategic consulting engagements. • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. What You Need • Strong proficiency in SAS and SQL for healthcare data analysis. • Deep understanding of healthcare economics, utilization management, and risk contracting analytics. • Experience working in payer, provider, or life sciences environments. • Hands-on experience with healthcare datasets such as claims data, EHR/EMR data, and other real-world evidence. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights. • Strong reporting, documentation, and presentation skills. • Master’s degree in Health Economics, Data Science, Public Health, Business Analytics, or a related field. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or similar). • Proficiency in additional analytics tools such as Python or R. • Prior experience supporting consulting, analytics, or strategy engagements in healthcare. • Exposure to real-world evidence, value-based care, or population health analytics.
