Job Title: Welder and Fitter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter to join our team. The role involves both fabricating and pipe fitting. As a welder, you will be responsible for creating large frames using angle iron and 2" square tubing, and welding pipes ranging from 3" to 24" in diameter. You will also be involved in cutting steel, washing steel, grinding, and using various shop tools such as the oxy-acetylene torch. This role requires confidence and consistency in welding. In addition to welding, you will assist in other departments such as Electrical, Plumbing, and Testing once the welding phase of projects is complete. The majority of your time will be spent welding using flux core dual shield wire (.035 and .045).
Responsibilities
? Fabricate large frames using angle iron and 2" square tubing.
? Perform pipe fitting and welding of pipes from 3" to 24" in diameter.
? Cut, wash, and grind steel.
? Utilize shop tools including oxy-acetylene torch.
? Weld with confidence and consistency based on experience level.
? Assist in other departments such as Electrical, Plumbing, and Testing when not welding.
Essential Skills
? Mig welding with flux core.
? Pipe fitting.
? Blueprint reading.
? Fabrication.
? Plasma cutting.
? 3G and 4G welding certifications.
? 5 years of welding experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
? Experience with schematics.
