About the position

Responsibilities
Ā Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.

Ā Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.

Ā Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions.

Ā Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals.

Ā Supervises the work results of support personnel.

Ā Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management on needed actions.

Ā Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.

Requirements
Ā Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.

Ā Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.

Ā Strong focus on customer service, quality, and accuracy.
