Job Skills / Requirements PDS Consultants Inc, is looking for a computer savvy and detail-oriented individual to help complete our Billing and Customer Service team. The Billing and Customer Service position serves customers by providing product and service information, resolving product and service problems. The orders start here and are reviewed, priced, and then passed along to data entry for processing. This position has a starting pay rate of $18.00 per hour and operates in an 8-hour shift with hours being 4:30pm-1:00am. Essential functions include but are not limited to: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions • Receive orders from customers which can include VA, Medicaid, Wholesale, Safety, or Retail • Must proofread, edit, price, and highlight necessary areas • Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data which may include verifying the eligibility of order • Thorough knowledge of assigned contract pricing and requirements to ensure proper contract billing • Must have thorough knowledge of Optical Frames, Lenses, and Coatings available • Must have thorough knowledge of Optical Prescriptions and fitting of eyewear to ensure accurate processing • Follow up on duties associated with obtaining any missing data required for processing • Provide customer service to customer account reps or patients, answer phones, follow up with orders, files, tracking patient’s orders and status, etc. • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. • May need to order frames or other supplies • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Work Environment This position operates mostly in an office setting located adjacent to an optical laboratory.
