BOARD OF EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES BUFFALO, NEW YORK 14202 RECRUITMENT BULLETIN # 25-381 2026 SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM VIRTUAL COORDINATOR HIGH SCHOOL MARCH 27, 2026 NOTICE OF POSITION POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Dr.Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of: VIRTUAL COORDINATOR HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER 2026 LOCATION: TBD- Position will require the coordinator to travel to various summer school locations. Grades 9-12 High School Program: Full Day (7.25 hours: daily rate-1/200th) LOCATIONS: 197, 198, 206, 208, 305, 363 (subject to change) TIME: 8:00-3:15 (7.25 hours) DATES: Setup: Friday, July 10 Instruction: July 13 -August 13 (Monday - Thursdays only) Grading/Regents Setup: Monday, August 18 Regents: August 18 & 19 (Days and times needed will be determined by school) Scoring: August 20, 21, and 24th or until exams are scored (Location/Days/Times dependent on need and certification) *Teachers will instruct four (4) one (1) hour periods and have a one (1) hour duty period, which may be divided based on scheduling needs. Teachers will also have one (1) prep period and a lunch break. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be New York State or Buffalo certified in the tenure area for which they are applying to teach. Priority in the selection of teachers will be given to qualified permanent/ tenured/probationary/temporary Buffalo Public School teachers in order of summer school seniority. Summer school seniority is defined as previous years of BPS summer employment in a classroom setting. Only current and active BPS employees earn summer school seniority. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Coordinate the virtual learning enrollment process Enrolls students in the learning management system Provides technical support for end users accessing learning management system Communicated with vendor support team Ensures that a support infrastructure is appropriately utilized in each summer school site Implements District virtual learning procedures. Develops best practices for virtual learning Tracks and collect data regarding enrollment, course completion and monitors student progress Prepares data for district review Creates training materials Provides professional development Provides student orientation to the program and guidelines Maintains logistical information (passwords, contact info) Verified course completion and documentation Monitors and support technology needs of students This recruitment bulletin in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
