Key Responsibilities Research and Reporting: Conduct research on assigned topics, gather information through interviews, and contribute to news stories. Writing: Write articles, news briefs, and feature stories. Content Creation: Assist in the creation of multimedia content including videos and photo galleries. Collaborative Projects: Work with the editorial team to develop and pitch story ideas. Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions. Fact-Checking: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of information by cross-referencing sources and conducting thorough fact-checks. Audience Engagement: Engage with readers and viewers through comments, social media, and other interactive platforms. Qualifications Education: Currently enrolled in a Journalism, Communication, English, or related degree program. Writing Skills: Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of journalistic style and standards. Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information from various sources. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable conducting interviews and speaking with sources. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms. Internship Details Duration: The internship lasts for 8 weeks Location: This role is virtual but applicant must reside in New Jersey and requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
