2026 Loan Quality and Reporting Analyst

The Loan Quality and Reporting Analyst supports the Loan Quality program by ensuring loan files are accurate and complete, performing quality reviews, and producing reporting that highlights trends and improvement opportunities.ResponsibilitiesSupport loan quality review activities under the direction of Loan Quality leadership, including end-to-end file testing and thematic reviews against internal standards and applicable guidesDocument work performed, evidence reviewed, exceptions identified, and conclusions reached in a clear, reproducible mannerMaintain organized workpapers and an evidence library to support internal reviews, audits, and examinationsSupport assigned KYC/AML testing activities and escalate exceptions in accordance with established protocolsMaintain control inventory records for Underwriting and Closing, including control objectives, owners, frequency, and evidence locationSupport testing of control design and operating effectiveness through assigned evaluation steps and complete documentationEnsure control evidence is current, complete, and stored in accordance with team standardsMaintain trackers for management action plans, including status updates, due dates, closure evidence, and escalation of overdue items, as well as create reporting/data visualization for management reportingCoordinate audit and examination request lists by tracking deliverables, gathering supporting materials, and confirming submissions are complete and consistentTrack corrective actions through closure validation and help summarize trends such as repeat findings, aging, and time to closureBuild and maintain recurring reports and dashboards to support Loan Quality leadership and business stakeholdersPerform ad hoc analyses to identify trends, exceptions, risks, and process improvement opportunitiesAggregate data from multiple sources and prepare clear, concise reporting materials for leadership updatesMonitor and report on key quality metrics, findings, remediation progress, and related operational trendsPerform data-quality checks and exception testing for critical loan data elements across Underwriting, Closing, and related downstream processesSupport pre-submission validations and reconcile post-submission error reports when applicableDocument validation rules, thresholds, and recurring issues, and partner with business and Technology teams to support root-cause remediationMaintain procedures, work instructions, field definitions, and reference materials related to Loan Quality activitiesSupport implementation tracking for guide updates, procedural changes, and related training materialsAssist with team enablement for new reporting, quality review processes, and system changesPerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelors degree requiredExperience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or similar reporting and analytics toolsProficiency in Excel, including formulas, filtering, lookups, and pivot tablesStrong attention to detail, organization, and documentation disciplineAbility to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate trackers, workpapers, and supporting evidenceStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and conciselyAbility to review information carefully, identify exceptions, and follow established proceduresAbility to collaborate effectively across Underwriting, Closing, Technology, and Compliance or Risk-related teamsInterest in quality assurance, controls, audit readiness, reporting, and process improvementAbility to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processesCourtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholdersFamiliarity with commercial real estate or multifamily lending concepts preferredFamiliarity with agency programs such as Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Optigo preferredExperience supporting control testing, audit requests, remediation tracking, or user acceptance testing preferredExposure to KYC/AML review support or control-related documentation preferredBenefitsUp to 83% subsidized medical payroll deductionsCompetitive dental and vision benefits401(k) + matchPre-tax transit and commuting benefitsA robust health and wellness program – earn cash rewards and gain access to resources that promote health, engagement, and balancePaid maternity and parental leave, as well as other family paid leave programsCompany-paid life, short and long-term disability insuranceHealth Savings Account and Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible SpendingCareer development opportunitiesEmpowerment and encouragement to give back – volunteer hours and donation matchingCompany OverviewWalker & Dunlop is a commercial real estate finance and advisory firm that creates strong capital markets and investment sales capabilities.
