Zurich Underwriting Associate Program - Montreal

Zurich Canada is a leading global insurance provider, seeking Underwriting Associates for their Zurich Excellence Program. This two-year program offers mentorship and training in commercial insurance, allowing associates to build essential skills and explore various career paths within the organization. Responsibilities Review, evaluate and summarize risk exposures, controls, loss history, and financial condition to aid underwriting decisions around submission acceptance or declination Follow instructions from Underwriters in areas of policy rating, subjective pricing, policy construction, coverages & exclusions, mandatory forms, etc. to accurately quote and issue policies (bonds) Provide account servicing support in collaboration with Underwriter and Manager, with responsibility for end-to-end servicing processes for new business, renewals, and endorsements for basic to moderately complex business and products Support Underwriter with broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions by providing basic customer service skills. Respond to written, verbal, and telephone inquiries appropriately and on time under close supervision by Underwriter and/or Manager Perform other duties as assigned Skills Bachelors degree or College diploma and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance area High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance area Knowledge of data collection and analysis Microsoft Office experience 1 or more years of experience in insurance, financial services, customer service, risk management, or related fields Aspiration to attain the Chartered Insurance Professional designation A genuine interest in launching or advancing a career in the insurance industry—prior insurance experience is an asset but not required Strong analytical thinking and a curious mindset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Eagerness to learn and grow in a structured training environment A team-oriented attitude with a passion for delivering great service Benefits Comprehensive health/benefits plan with varying levels of coverage to suit your specific needs Minimum of four weeks of vacation per year Four personal days per year to be used at their discretion Access to a comprehensive range of training and development opportunities Company Overview Zurich is provides insurance services.
