z/OS Systems Programmer - Nueve Solutions, LLC

JD:We are seeking an experienced z/OS Systems Programmer to provide technical expertise, administration, and support for z/OS operating systems, subsystems, and related software. The role involves performance tuning, capacity planning, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and supporting mainframe applications and tools. The candidate will act as a subject matter expert, provide end-user and ISV product support, and contribute to system integration, job scheduling, and technical projects.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain z/OS, JES2, CICS, IMS, and related subsystems.Provide administration and support for ISV tools (e.g., BlueZone, SCLM, JOBTRAC).Diagnose and resolve system and performance issues; perform root cause analysis.Support capacity planning, system tuning, and parameter management.Collaborate with IT teams to provide technical consultation and project support.Manage system libraries, performance monitoring, and mainframe job scheduling.Minimum Qualifications:8+ years of experience in z/OS systems programming, JES2, SMS, and OMVS.3+ years with TSS (Top Secret Security) and performance monitoring.2+ years of REXX scripting.Preferred: Knowledge of SMP/E, RMF, SMF, WLM, JCL, VSAM, TSO, TLS/SSL, and Informatica Power Exchange.Experience with job scheduling (JOBTRAC/CPM), SCLM administration, and mainframe networking (VTAM, TCP/IP).please share resumes to Employers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
