YouTube Video Editor for Educational Content (Violin Experience a Major Plus)
I run Price Violin Academy, a YouTube channel dedicated to making world-class violin education, typically reserved for elite conservatories, accessible to everyone.

I’m a professional violinist and teacher whose students are consistently placed in top music schools. The methods I teach work, and my goal is for this channel to become a trusted, long-term online platform for learning violin.
The channel currently has ~15,000 subscribers and publishes one long-form video and two short-form videos per week. I’m looking for a consistent editor I can work with for years—not a one-off contractor.
What I’m Looking For:
I’ve attempted to hire editors in the past and learned something critical:
Violin and music-education content cannot be edited effectively without either
1. Some working knowledge of violin/classical music, or
2. A tight collaborative workflow that minimizes back-and-forth.
When an editor doesn’t understand violin technique, musical phrasing, or how to judge takes, editing becomes communication-heavy and ends up costing more time instead of less.
Because of this, I’m especially interested in one of the following:
Option A (Ideal)
An editor who plays violin or has strong familiarity with violin technique/classical music.
Option B (Very workable)
An editor comfortable using DaVinci Resolve Cloud, allowing me to do the following without sending files back and forth:
-Select the best musical takes
-Prep or label clips where musical judgment is required
while you handle:
-The bulk of editing
-Pacing, polish, clarity, and final delivery.

One note based on past experience:
Editors with less sense for classical music culture often miss the mark tonally. Think approachable and modern, not kitschy or generic. (For example: stock images of purple violins are not the vibe.)
Responsibilities
-Editing long-form YouTube videos (10–15 min usually)
-Editing short-form clips
-Clean cuts and pacing
-Audio balancing (spoken voice + violin)
-Basic color correction
-Simple, clear on-screen text
-Exporting YouTube-ready files
Optional Bonus but would be amazing if possible:
-Thumbnails
-Descriptions, tags, and YouTube optimization
-Uploading and posting
My highest priority is establishing a low-friction editing workflow where I can hand off files and trust the process.
