JOB SUMMARY:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is looking for bilingual caregivers, who will perform the duties and responsibilities for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) and Family Units (FMUA). The caregiver shall maintain a safe environment, observing and encouraging adherence to safety rules and health guidelines. This will include assisting with the general care of children performed at a level of quality and according to industry safety standards commensurate with those required of caregivers employed at state-licensed daycare facilities.
HOURS:
Ā Full Time
Ā 8 hour shifts with a 30 minute lunch:
Ā Day Shift Ā 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Ā Evening Shift Ā 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Ā Night Shift Ā 10:00 pm to 6:30 am
Ā Weekends & Holidays required
Ā There is a night shift and weekend differential added to the base pay rate
Ā Shift times cannot be moved
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ā Experience: Not required. Will train in the following skills: personal care and toileting for children; basic hygiene and basic infection control; maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment; basic first aid and basic emergency procedures; understanding abuse and neglect.
Ā Education: High School Diploma or GED
Ā Must have a valid US Driver's License
Ā Additional Certifications: CPR Certification (Preferred)
Ā U.S. Citizenship: Individuals shall be U.S. citizens or Legal Permanent Residents residing in the US for 3 of the past 5 years.
Ā Language Requirement: Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
Ā Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
PAY:
$17.75 per hour + shift differentials

High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
