We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Advocate to join our Liberty Partnerships Program team at SUNY Cobleskill. As a Youth Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students in grades 6-12, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver services in academics, social and emotional development, life skills, goal setting, mentoring, leadership, and college and career readiness
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students during the school day
Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff
Assist with homework and test prep, and provide tutoring as needed
Chaperone field trips and participate in occasional evening or weekend activities
Maintain accurate records and submit data in a timely manner
Collaborate with program staff and school personnel to ensure seamless delivery of services

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of work experience with adolescents
Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and dependability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organized and detail-oriented, with ability to maintain confidentiality
