What you'll be doing

Our one-year programme gives you the opportunity to work on exciting systems engineering projects that will create a smarter, safer and more sustainable strategic road network.

Working with our Future Technologies and Mobility team, you'll get valuable insight on how we solve complex engineering challenges through researching, developing and delivering specialist solutions for our roads.

You'll also discover how we're improving the customer experience through emerging technologies such as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) that will shape how we design and operate the strategic road network of the future.

What you'll need to succeed

• The ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
• A focus on quality and integrity in everything you do
You'll also need to meet these essential entry requirements:
• Currently studying in your second year of an undergraduate degree in engineering or a related subject (e.g. science, technology or maths) and expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:2
Assessment centres will take place in January and February.

To be eligible for a placement, you must be available to attend the 2-day induction, 30th June - 1st July.

All offers for our graduate programmes are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including Right to Work, reference, and DBS criminal record checks.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the current criteria for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. Successful candidates will require Right to Work in the UK by the start of employment and for the duration of the programme.
