Writing Student Internship Program
Internship Overview: DeafandHoH.com is hiring students for an ongoing internship position. This is a rewarding position for anyone seeking to learn more about the deaf and hard of hearing community and culture. Qualifications: Looking for someone who is creative and passionate, has outstanding writing skills, and can work unsupervised. Individual working toward a degree in deaf studies, ASL or related preferred, but not required. Social media and basic web editing skills are a plus Duties: (all duties will be related to hearing loss) • Reviewing and editing blogs, emails and articles • Writing summaries on newly released products and recent news • Writing articles and press releases • Attending Open Chat Night (OpenChatNight.com) to help become familiarized with issues that are important to members of the community • Other related duties as needed Compensation: This is an unpaid internship - (remote, work from home) DeafandHoH.com is an online community for the deaf or hard of hearing, professionals, and family members of those with hearing loss.
