Workforce Development Coordinator-Automotive
The New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association (NHADA) is a statewide trade organization dedicated to supporting the motor vehicle industry in New Hampshire. The Workforce Development Coordinator plays a key role in promoting automotive careers by engaging students, educators, and industry partners, while strengthening connections between education and local dealerships and repair facilities.ResponsibilitiesPromote automotive careers to middle and high school students across New HampshireConduct school visits, classroom presentations, career fairs, and community eventsSupport both secondary and post-secondary automotive education programsEducate students on career pathways, employment opportunities, internships, and higher education options within the stateBuild and maintain relationships with local dealerships, repair shops, schools, and educatorsConnect students with employers for internships, apprenticeships, and entry-level employmentServe as a liaison between education providers and the automotive industryCoordinate and support multiple events throughout the year, including career fairs, meetings, and outreach initiativesAssist with oversight and administration of scholarshipsSupport NHAEF and NHADA workforce development initiativesPrepare budgets, track program expenses, and ensure responsible use of fundsCollect data and prepare reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholdersMaintain accurate records and documentation for all workforce programsTransport and set up the Automotive Career Exploration Trailer at schools and eventsEnsure safe towing and operation of the trailer (trailer towing experience preferred)Travel extensively throughout New HampshireAttend early morning school visits and evening meetings and eventsManage a flexible schedule with occasional late nights and early morningsSkillsStrong interest in workforce development, education, and career pathwaysComfortable speaking in front of groups of students, educators, and industry professionalsExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesWillingness to travel statewide and maintain a flexible scheduleAutomotive or related industry experienceTeaching, training, or educational outreach experienceEvent coordination experienceExperience towing trailers or willingness to learnBenefits401(k) with employer matchHealth and dental insurancePaid time off (PTO)Employee appreciation events held multiple times per year through an active Spirit CommitteeOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on New Hampshireโs future workforce401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceTuition reimbursementVision insuranceCompany OverviewNHADA was formed to provide a united front for the retail motor vehicle industry before the New Hamps It was founded in 1921, and is headquartered in Concord, New Hampshire, USA, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
