We are hiring an experienced workbook / guided journal designer to create a high-quality companion Journal / Field Guide for an existing fitness title:
Title: Strength Training for Women Over 50 (Companion Journal / Field Guide)
Project Overview
This is a companion product to an existing book. I will provide:
Written text instructions
Content structure and section ideas
Guidance on tone, audience, and usage
You will convert that material into a polished, professional guided journal / field guide interior that is ready for Amazon KDP upload.
This is not just simple formatting — I need someone who understands how to design a workbook/journal experience that is:
Clear
Inviting
Easy to use
Visually organized
Professional and credible
What This Project Includes
The journal/field guide will likely include:
Intro/instruction pages
Guided prompts
Checklists
Tracking pages
Progress pages
Reflection/journaling space
Simple visual structure for repeated page types
Possibly callout boxes or examples
The audience is women 50+, so readability and usability are extremely important.
Deliverables
Print-ready PDF formatted for Amazon KDP paperback
Editable source files (InDesign preferred; Canva or Word only if professionally structured)
Interior design system/template for repeating pages (trackers, logs, prompts, etc.)
KDP-ready files set up correctly (trim size, margins, bleed/non-bleed as applicable)
Scope of Work
Transform written instructions into a polished workbook/journal layout
Create consistent page templates for recurring sections
Design clear hierarchy and spacing for easy completion by the reader
Ensure all pages are practical and comfortable to write in
Maintain a professional, encouraging aesthetic appropriate for fitness and healthy aging
Prepare final files to meet KDP print specifications
Ideal Experience
Strong experience designing workbooks, journals, planners, or guided notebooks
Experience with Amazon KDP print interiors
Excellent print layout and typography skills
Ability to turn rough content/instructions into a well-designed usable product
Understanding of design for an older adult audience (readability, spacing, clarity)
