Allen Energy is seeking a qualified Technical Support Engineer to work with our cutting-edge technology products and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The selected candidate will be heavily responsible for providing technical support to customers, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our battery and charger products. The Technical Support Engineer will also work closely with our suppliers and customers to identify opportunities for improvement and provide the best overall solutions to meet their initiatives.

This is a remote, full-time (40 hours) position M-F with occasional weekend work. The selected applicant should expect to travel 5-10 nights per month.

Requirements

As the Technical Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maximizing customer satisfaction and driving sales growth through providing technical support, leading projects for technical improvements, and developing unique solutions. Your exceptional relationship-building skills will be essential in maintaining communication with existing and potential customers, from mechanics to managers, to truly understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly. Domestic travel and some international travel will be required in this position.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong technical background and a passion for continually learning about new products, services, and business processes. Your ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters and to work cooperatively with a vast range of internal stakeholders will be highly valued. You will also play a significant role in promoting our products on a national and international level, attending trade shows, conferences, meetings, and seminars while continuously seeking and evaluating suppliers to improve our product and service offerings.

Overall, your dynamic contributions will be a key factor in shaping our company's image and increasing sales.

In this role, you will be expected to:
• Provide technical support both remotely and on-site to our customers, ensuring that our products perform optimally and that our customers are highly satisfied.
• Take part in technical projects aimed at improving our products and developing new ones. As a lead, guide your colleagues to success.
• This role requires excellent communication skills, as regular interaction with both existing and potential customers is vital to promoting a good relationship between them and our organization. You will be communicating with customers across responsibility levels, including mechanics, managers, and executives.
• Combine your extensive product knowledge with insights into your customers' needs to develop unique solutions that are well supported by critical financial analysis and feasibility studies.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, meetings, and seminars to stay informed about industry developments and to promote our products in a highly competitive market.
• This role requires, on average, around 5 to 10 days of domestic travel per month, together with some occasional international trips.
• Candidates should be passionate about self-education and enthusiastic about learning new products, services, and business processes.
• Use your excellent judgment and discretion to handle critical matters independently and confidently without external assistance.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams- sales, engineering, customer service, marketing, finance, and legal to deliver exceptional results.
• Strategize to provide unique solutions and value propositions that can measurably stimulate sales growth.
• Actively seek and evaluate suppliers so that we can offer better products, services, and insights to our customers.
• Contribute to creating compelling marketing content, such as case studies, white papers, and published articles in trade journals.
• Assume any other role-related duties assigned to you by your superior.

Core Qualifications
• To be considered for this role, applicants should have at least three years of experience, with preference given to those who have previously worked with Ground Support Equipment, CAN, vehicle control systems, energy storage systems, or motive power battery and charger systems.
• Candidates with a verifiable track record of achieving results will be highly valued. This could entail improving efficiency, implementing cost-saving measures, or enhancing overall performance.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position, with an engineering degree being preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong technical acumen and be able to read and comprehend technical manuals, procedures, and diagrams with ease.
• Excellent computer skills are necessary, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to quickly learn and master application specific software.
• This position is customer-facing. As such, applicants must be comfortable interacting with clients and willing to visit customer sites - occasionally on short notice; strong verbal and written communication is essential.

• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner when required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Must have a valid US passport
