Responsibilities:
Provide engaging and individualized instruction tailored to each students unique needs and learning style
Create and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel
Record and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed
Give regular feedback to students and parents on academic performance and behavioral progress
Work closely with other educators, therapists, and specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to each students education
Promote a positive and inclusive online learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred
Current teaching license or equivalent certification in Special Education for the state of Virginia
Minimum of two years of past experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom or remote setting
Understanding of remote teaching platforms and educational technology
Capacity to create and adapt instructional materials for online learning
Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail
