About the role:
At Turing, we are looking for an accomplished PHP Tech Lead who will work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and adopt the best practices of test-driven development. Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and deliver cutting-edge software systems
- Ensure to adhere to development methodologies and standards
- Encourage code reviews for quality assurance
- Provide technical guidance to development team members and share feedback
- Produce high-quality application engineering deliverables in accordance with the project timeline
- Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to engineering staff
Requirements
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in PHP development
- Working experience in the software development domain with a focus on PHP with Node and Angular
- Hands-on experience in object-oriented Design principles and patterns
- Solid knowledge of the following frameworks - Laravel, PHP Yii 2
- Expertise in using the latest engineering tools, i.e. Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, Git, etc.
- Hands-on experience in developing RESTful APIs
- Exposure to relational databases, such as MySQL, and NoSQL databases, like MongoDB
- Strong understanding of web design and development frameworks
- Fluency in English to ensure smooth communication with international teams/stakeholders
- Comfortable with working full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones
