Meet the requirements of VirtualSC's Online Teaching Standards in the Environment domain by meeting the mastery level in managing student behavior, establishing the online course environment, and maintaining a respectful culture. Meet the requirements of VirtualSC's Online Teaching Standards in the Professionalism domain by meeting the mastery level in growing and developing professionally, reflecting on teaching practice, and managing courses. Participate in the course design and revision process either formally as subject matter expert (SME), second reader or informally; Participate in internal course review and standards alignment processes. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is located in the Division of College and Career Readiness, Office of Virtual Education.A bachelor's degree with certification as a professional teacher by the South Carolina Department of Education in the subject area to be taught; a master's degree in education is preferred. Several adjuncts will be hired for the the following certification areas: Family & Consumer Science (1 position), Business Education (2 positions), Computer Science (3 positions), and Music Education (1 position).
