The BDR is required to work out of the San Francisco office for this position. If the candidate wasn't already there, they would have to move within a certain time frame that the manager and recruiting had agreed upon. Okta will not assist with relocation.

Business Development Representatives (BDRs) are needed by Okta to qualify inbound leads and schedule meetings that build pipeline for our sales organization. We are looking for dedicated, curious, and motivated individuals. Strong organizational, attention to detail, and communication skills are necessary for the ideal candidate. Strong candidates are adaptable to change, at ease in fast-paced environments, and eager to start a sales career.

BDRs are in charge of connecting with potential customers and prospects who might be interested in Okta or have downloaded content or materials related to Okta. customers who have expressed an interest in Okta content After arranging a meeting with an Account Executive, the BDR will make phone calls and send emails to potential customers to ascertain how Okta can assist them.

Responsibilities: Research contacts and generate interest through discovery calls and email campaigns. Use active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how Okta can solve them. Consistently achieve quota by hitting call, email, and meeting targets. Use and maintain Salesforce.com to keep data accurate. Willingness to collaborate with other members of the sales organization to drive deals forward.
