WordPress Expert (Custom Theme & API Integrations) - Remote
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Expert with at least five years of experience to develop a fully customized WordPress website. The candidate must be proficient in creating custom themes from Figma designs, developing custom plugins, and integrating various third-party APIs. This is a remote position that requires a proactive, detail-oriented developer with a strong understanding of WordPress architecture and API integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Develop a fully custom WordPress theme based on Figma designs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
ā¢ Create and manage custom WordPress plugins to meet specific business needs.
ā¢ Integrate the website with WhatsApp API, Calendly, Google Calendar, ManyChat, Follow Up Boss, and other chatbot solutions.
ā¢ Develop chatbots that utilize Google Drive data for automated responses and user interactions.
ā¢ Implement daily data uploads from Google Drive Sheets, including images, PDFs (converted to images), and other files.
ā¢ Maintain and manage historical data records, including stock market-like data visualization and updates.
ā¢ Optimize the website for performance, SEO, and security best practices.
ā¢ Troubleshoot and resolve any website-related issues in a timely manner.
ā¢ Ensure compatibility with modern browsers, mobile devices, and accessibility standards.
ā¢ Work collaboratively with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience.
Requirements:
ā¢ Proven experience of 5+ years in WordPress theme and plugin development.
ā¢ Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
ā¢ Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and webhooks.
ā¢ Experience integrating third-party APIs such as WhatsApp, Calendly, Google Calendar, and chatbot solutions.
ā¢ Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Sheets API for data management.
ā¢ Understanding of database management and handling large sets of data, similar to stock market updates.
ā¢ Experience with performance optimization techniques, security best practices, and SEO-friendly development.
ā¢ Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
ā¢ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
